dBpowerAMP Monkeys Audio Codec is an extension to be used with the dBpowerAMP Music Converter, and it consists of a little application which helps in converting WAV or MP3 audio files into APE format and vice versa.
Nowadays, APE files are supported by any installed player on the computer, and they have the advantage of having an extremely good audio quality. The disadvantages are that, even when it compresses the size of the files, this compression is not too advanced, occupying more space than a MP3, and that almost no portable player can play them back.
Well then, dBpowerAMP Monkeys Audio Codec is thought out to mend this failures, and provide a comfortable tool to convert audio files into APE format.
