QIP is a free on-line communications program. It’s an instant messaging client used by thousands of people.
QIP, which in English is short for Quiet Internet Pager, lets you communicate with other users in real time. For the moment it is a closed code program, developed by the Russian company Ilham Zyulkorneev.
One of QIP’s characteristics is that it groups all the conversations together in one single window, using a tab system similar to Firefox, and allowing all the conversations to be kept together without occupying space on the desktop bar. It has no publicity (like in ICQ), it’s fast, light and has a large number of skins to choose from in order to change the colour of your window.
QIP is compatible with official ICQ clients and allows you to chat with users from the other messaging client.
