LAME is an mp3, file encoder, which can not be used as a stand-alone feature but together with the programme supporting it.
LAME definition contradicts its function since it means “LAME Ain’t an Mp3 Encoder”. This type pf mp3 codec offers high versatility for conforming mp3 audio quality, since it allows the user to select the bit rate quality (number of kilobytes per second). At the same time, it has a high conversion speed and it can add “joint stereo” in the format.
This codec can only work with audio edition or conversion programmes.
Essential system requirements for software operation:
