NASA World Wind is a program brought to you by the NASA space agency to allow you to view planet Earth from you own home.
Enjoy a thrilling journey that starts in the planet’s atmosphere and can end up anywhere you want in the world by just using the mouse to bring the image closer to you.
To create this program, images captured by NASA satellites were used in conjunction with aerial photographs taken by the American government’s scientific agency, the USGS (United States Geological Survey). With NASA World Wind you can visit any city on Earth. There are full-colour, real-time, three-dimensional images of everywhere you want to discover.
NASA World Wind is compatible with the Microsoft Windows operating system and allows you to fully familiarise yourself with the geographical data and climatological conditions of each location (temperature, storms, hurricanes, volcanoes, borders, flags, coordinates…)
