iTunes is Apple’s mp3 player and it is now compatible with Windows 2000 and XP.

With iTunes you can record your own CDs, share songs via the iTunes library, import data to your computer from a music CD and listen to you favourite music anywhere you like by synchronising the iTunes music library with your iPod. What’s more, you can use the Internet to access any radio station you want.

With iTunes you can establish “Intelligent Playlists”, organise them however you want and automatically update them. The program also allows you to view video files and, as it supports visualizer plugins and devices, the music you are playing can be accompanied by visual effects.

It has a very simple interface, which can be fully minimised so that it does not get in the way of the other windows you are using. The formats that iTunes works with include: MP3, AIFF, AAC, MPEG4, and WAV.
